Restorative Dental Services
Our restorative dental care services encompass a wide range of treatments focusing on repairing and restoring damaged or lost teeth. Whether you have cavities, cracks, or missing teeth, our restorative dental procedures can help bring back your smile’s radiance and boost your confidence.
Dental Extractions
Dentists prefer to save natural teeth whenever possible. But sometimes, other restorative methods, such as dental fillings or dental crowns, are not enough. If your tooth has been damaged past the point of repair, then removal may be necessary. We may recommend a tooth extraction if you have, severe tooth decay (cavities), a fractured tooth, an impacted tooth, crowded teeth or severe gum disease. Some types of extractions may need to be referred out to a specialist.
Root Canals
A root canal is a dental procedure to remove inflamed or infected pulp on the inside of the tooth which is then carefully cleaned and disinfected, then filled and sealed. Root canals are designed to eliminate bacteria from the infected root canal, prevent reinfection of the tooth and save the natural tooth.
Endodontic treatment helps you maintain your natural smile, continue eating the foods you love and limits the need for ongoing dental work. With proper care, most teeth that have had root canal treatment can last a lifetime.
Crowns
Cracked or fractured teeth, teeth that have large cavities or defective fillings, and root-canaled teeth often need crowns for protection and improved appearance.
Mt. Baldy Dental Center offers both esthetic porcelain and noble metal crowns depending on your preferences and needs. All of our crowns are made in local dental laboratories with certified high-quality, bio-compatible materials, and the best custom workmanship. We use durable, advanced types of cement to bond crowns securely into place.
Bridges
A bridge is a dental prosthesis which is used to replace one or more missing teeth. Bridges are made of porcelain and usually have a metal substructure for strength.
They are permanent, cemented prosthetic pieces which restore missing teeth to proper form, function and appearance.
